LBMA: Gold Ounces Transferred Daily Rises In April; Silver Volume Falls

The amount of gold transferred between accounts of London Bullion Market Association members rose. This was during April, while silver volume fell, the organization reported Friday.

The LBMA releases clearing statistics each month showing the net volume of gold and silver transferred between accounts of members. Essentially providing a snapshot of the amount of trading activity.

The amount of gold transferred daily in April increased by 1.4%/month from the previous month. All the way to 20.2 million ounces, the most so far in 2019. The corresponding value was unchanged at $25.9 billion, the LBMA said.
